MOZART TOUR

Celebrate Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s 250 th birthday in Salzburg and Vienna.
A comprehensive tour including hotel accommodation, tickets to concerts, sightseeing tours and ground transportation. Departures year round. This is an independent tour, locally hosted and airfare is extra.

Day 1 Arrive Salzburg. Afternoon at leisure. A “Salzburg Card” valid for 2 days includes reduced rates to museums and exhibitions plus free transportation on the Salzburg Municipal Transportation System.

Day 2 Salzburg
Breakfast at hotel. , Sightseeing tour “In Mozart’s footsteps. Ticket to a Mozart Concert (“Best of Mozart”, or Fortress Concert or Palace Concert.

Day 3 Salzburg
Breakfast at hotel. Ticket to the exhibition “Viva Mozart” at Neue Residenz


Day 4 Salzburg – Vienna
Breakfast at hotel. Board any InterCity train from Salzburg to Vienna, a scenic 3 ½ hr. ride in First class. A Vienna Card valid for 72 hours of free travel on Vienna’s public transport network plus discounts at museum, shops, restaurants, etc. Admission to a Mozart Concert such as the “Vienna Mozart Orchestra” or a concert at Sala Terena or similar.

Day 5 Vienna
Breakfast at hotel. Half day panorama city tour of Vienna. Admission to the exhibition “now and Mozart” at the Albertina, or to “The House of Music” or to the newly opened “Mozart House Vienna”. Please choose one.

Day 6 Vienna
Breakfast at hotel. Ticket to a performance of a Mozart opera at the Theater and der Wien, the Vienna State Opera or the Vienna Volksoper. (Optional excursions are available)

Day 7 Vienna (end of arrangements)
Breakfast at hotel. Continue your journey on your own, still humming the tune to the “Kleine Nachtmusik”.
