Day 1 Budapest – Brasov
Leave Budapest, Hungary’s capital, for Transylvania by Intercity Train. Seats are reserved in 1st class carriage. Overnight: Hotel Aro Palace, Brasov.

Day 2 Brasov (Full day excursion of Transylvania)Bran Castle
After Breakfast at hotel Meet your English speaking tour-guide in the lobby of your hotel. An orientation tour of Brasov (formerly Kronstadt) will include St. Mary’s Church, the Black Church and 10th century Council House. Continue your full day excursion by private car visiting medieval Sibiu (formerly Herrmannstadt) with its Brukenthal Palace, Council Tower and Passage of the Stairs. A visit to Bran Castle is also planned, better known as the castle of Count Dracula. Admission fees and lunch are extra. Overnight: Hotel Aro Palace, Brasov.

Day 3 Brasov (Independent side trip by rail to Sigishoara)
After Breakfast at hotel. Leave by train for Sigishoara formerly Schaessburg (– ca. 1918)Explore this medieval town with its famous Fortress Tower, the Gothic Church of the Hill, the Deer House and the House of Vlad Dacul. Good walking shoes are recommended because of the many cobble stoned alleys and streets. Overnight: Hotel Aro Palace, Brasov.

Day 4 Brasov - Bucharest - Constanta
After Breakfast at the hotel, leave by train via Bucharest (change of Train required) to Constanta.Overnight at Hotel, Ibis, Constanta.

Day 5 Constanta
After Breakfast at hotel, Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel for your half-day private car excursion of Constanta. Noteworthy are the beach, the remaining Roman ruins and National History and Archaeology Museum. Return to hotel by noon. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight Hotel Ibis, Constanta

Day 6 Constanta - Bucharest
After Breakfast at hotel, leave by train for Bucharest. Representative will assist with your transfer to your hotel.  Tonight dine at the chic Restaurant Balthazar. Overnight: Athenee Place Hilton, Bucharest.

Day 7 Bucharest - Budapest
After Breakfast at hotel, meet your English speaking guide in the lobby of your hotel. Start your morning sightseeing tour of Bucharest including the Lipscani area, a pedestrian only area with cafes, new boutiques and restaurants. See the National History Museum, Revolution Square and National Art Museum of Romania and last but not least the Palace of Parliament built by the last leader of the Communist regime, and said to be the second-largest building in the world after the Pentagon you will return to your hotel.

A late checkout has been arranged. Time for a visit to Caru cu Bere for a beer and snack before embarking on the night train for Budapest. Overnight: EURONIGHT SLEEPER TRAIN. A dining car is available.

Day 8 Budapest - Eger
Arrive by Euronight Train at Budapest, Keleti Station (change of train required). Board any train for the Baroque City of Eger. Enjoy the spa facilities at this charming hotel with its very unique wine cellar. Overnight: Hotel Korona, Eger.

Day 9 Eger
After Breakfast at hotel meet your English speaking guide in the lobby of your hotel. Walking tour of Eger. Visit the Istvan Dobo Castle Museum, the Baroque Cathedral, home of the Spekula Observatory and Library and window shop in the traffic free Szechenyi Street. Overnight: Hotel Korona, Eger.

Day 10 Eger - Budapest
After Breakfast at hotel board any train for Budapest. Arrival at Budapest-Keleti Railroad Station
