Day 1 Rome
Arrive Rome Airport. Private transfer to hotel. Balance
of day at leisure. Afternoon city sightseeing tour of Rome including the Roman Forum, Colosseum, Circus Maximus and Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls.

Day 2 Rome
Guided tour of Vatican City and Sistine Chapel and Chapel and Gallery of the Tapestries. Balance of day at leisure.

Day 3 Rome – Florence
By train from Rome to Florence. Afternoon city sightseeing
tour by motor coach including Fiesole, The Franciscan Church of Santa Croce, the Gallery of the Academy with the original statue of David by Michelangelo.

Day 4 Florence
Visit the Uffici Galleries, reserved visiting slot for immediate admission. Rest of day at leisure. Or choose an optional full day tour to Siena and the fortified Tuscan town of San Gimignano.

Day 5 Florence– St. Moritz
Early departure by train from Florence via Milan to Tirano located at the foothills of the Rhaetian Alps. Board any train following the famous Bernina Express Route for St. Moritz.

Day 6 St. Moritz
Day to discover the Roseg Valley by horse drawn car. From June to October, join the a 2.5 hour hike covering 6 Lejins (mountain lakes) near Sils. Combinable with the “via gastronomica” walking-route. All services are optional. Or just relax at the health spa.

Day 7 St. Moritz– Zermatt by Glacier Express
Early morning departure by Glacier Express. Lunch reservation in the Dining Car is included. (Lunch to be paid on the spot.) In 7 1/2 hrs, this cogwheel-driven mountain express winds its way through 7 valleys, 91 tunnels and over 291 bridges.

Day 8 Zermatt
Day at leisure. Ski on the Theodul Glacier, visit the Ice Palace with it's carvings; for best pictures board the cogwheel train for Gornergrat. (All excursions are rebated by 25%) or just shop along the traffic-free Main Street.

Day 9 Zermatt– Lucerne
Board your train for a scenic ride on the Golden Pass route via Lake Geneva. In Montreux board the Panoramic Express via Zweisimmen for Interlaken. Time for a short exploration walk in Interlaken before continuing late afternoon to Lucerne.

Day 10 Lucerne
A two-hour walking tour with English speaking guide brings Lucerne’s exciting past to life. Afternoon time for an excursion by funicular to Mount Pilatus, (optional), seasonal. Or time for last minute shopping.

Day 11 Lucerne– Zurich (Airport)
Direct trains leave Lucerne for Zurich-Airport hourly.

Land package includes:
