Chamonix boasts an impressive 425 miles of prepared ski trails in five separate areas, each best suited to a skiers ability. Experts will head for the Vallee Blanche runs starting at the Aiguille du Midi, while intermediates will favor the Brevant and Grands Mottets. Beginners and beginning intermediates will be happiest at La Flegere, or the sunny LeTour. In all areas you ll find numerous reasonably priced mountain restaurants, located in charming spots, each serving Haute Savoy meals.
