Engelberg's ski area is divided into two distinctive areas,
on the the northside of the valley the slopes of the Brunni and to the
south, the vast area of of the Gerschnialp-Truebsee area with the Titlis
(peak 10'000 feet). The Engstlenalp run offers a challenging mogul field
or the byepass is easly negotiated by any intermediate skier. Snowboarders
head for the Jochpass with its half-pipe and the Fun-Park at Stand-Trubsee
with an obstacle course, mogul-field and boardercross.
Where to go and what to see:
Engelberg is ideal for shopping for local handicrafts. The sports center
features an indoor pool, tennis center, and curling rink. For the romantics,
horse-drawns sleighs are for hire. Lucerne is reached by train in only
45 min., this historic city is ideal for visiting museums, antique dealers
and art galleries on a non-ski day.
