Ortisei (St. Ulrich)
This South Tyrolian village is ideally located for skiing the famous Sella
Ronda. A one day, 20 mile long ski tour even intermediate skiers may easily
master this unforgettable circle trip. The lively après ski scene
offers a choice of discos and bars. Val Gardena (Groednertal) is also
suitable for cross-country skiers offering 62 miles of groomed trails.
Where to go and what to see
Folklore nights, band concerts, studio films, ice hockey games
and toboggan races are organized by the Tourist Boards. Ortisei sports
an active nightlife. Also famous, it's woodcarvings. In Corvara, splurge
for lunch at Hotel La Perla, the setting is memorable.
